EDUCATION
Nurturing Earth Law Through Education
What if the next generation of lawyers, judges, and politicians were trained in ecocentric law, including the Rights of Nature? We train thousands of students and legal professionals with this goal in mind, building a movement of Earth-centered legal professionals.
In 2025, Earth Law Center will be expanding its Education Program with new offerings including:
a permanent platform for courses, discussion boards, and initiatives
free video content for community advocates
new CLE courses for lawyers, and more

THE ELC COURSEBOOK
Earth Law: Emerging Ecocentric Law—A Guide for Practitioners is a book for students and practicing lawyers who seek to preserve a habitable planet and question whether current environmental law is up to the task. Earth law is the emerging body of ecocentric law for protecting, restoring, and stabilizing the functional interdependency of Earth’s life and life-support systems.
This course of study is for students and lawyers who know that nature and human environmental rights need to have seats at the table of law—in courts, legislatures, administrative bodies, enforcement agencies, and civil society.
